This specialty food café shines a spotlight on American cuisine with a signature twist, particularly appealing to seafood lovers. Whether you're seeking a cozy breakfast spot or a vibrant brunch gathering, Toast Cafe & Grill offers an inviting atmosphere with a menu designed to delight your palate.

The café is well-known for its enticing Benedict options, particularly the Crab Benedict, which features fresh lump crab atop a grilled sour baguette and poached eggs, elegantly drizzled with hollandaise sauce and garnished with dill. You can also indulge in the classic version, made with thinly sliced Canadian bacon and served with a side of home-fried seasoned potatoes or fresh hash browns.

If you're in the mood for something sweet, you can’t go wrong with the Plain French Toast or the uniquely delicious Cinnamon Crunch French Toast, which is filled with Cap'n Crunch cereal and topped with powdered sugar and a hint of cinnamon. Both options are popular among patrons, with many noting the satisfying, breakfast goodness they deliver.

Omelettes at Toast Cafe & Grill cater to a variety of tastes; the South of Border Omelet combines jack cheese and chorizo with refried beans, fresh salsa, avocado, and sour cream, bringing a vibrant flavor profile to breakfast. Meanwhile, the Carnivore Omelet is perfect for those seeking a hearty meal, packed with bacon, ham, sausage, and a blend of cheddar and Jack cheese.

Many customers recommend joining the virtual waitlist during peak hours, as it tends to get lively, especially on weekends. Despite occasional delays in service, guests frequently praise staff members for their friendliness and attentiveness.

While there are minor critiques—like a desire for crispier hash browns and more even distribution of toppings on the pancakes—the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive. Many diners, like Miranda D., rave about their experiences, highlighting the cozy outdoor patio and the delightful flavor combinations that keep them coming back for more.

We were influenced by someone posting about this breakfast spot on Instagram so we went to check it out and below is my honest review. The wait was quite long, 25 minutes for a table for three, at 10:30am in the morning on a Sunday. There is a virtual waitlist that you can join prior to arrival which is nice and I would recommend. When we sat down we had to wait for about 10 minutes to get drink or food orders in but once we ordered food it was out within 10/15 minutes. We tried the infamous pancakes and they were definitely delicious BUT I will say they could be better. The toppings they put on top of the pancakes are just on the top pancake leaving the bottom pancake without anything on it. Highly recommend drizzling and putting toppings on both pancakes. The potatoes and hash browns that come with the dishes could be a little crispier and flavorful. The atmosphere is nice and well set up! The staff were friendly and helpful. The prices are a little high for the food you are getting but the portions are of decent size. It's worth a try!

Came here for brunch for my wife birthday. There was 7 of us and took a little while but we were able to get a table. The food was pretty good. They came out relatively quickly. They forgot some of my items, but once I asked them, they came out hot. The menu was pretty big. The place gets pretty crowded. Definitely would come back to try other things maybe on and off non-weekend day. I would definitely recommend to anyone to try.

Sat in their outdoor patio area for brunch and it was so cute and cozy! Ordered and got our food very quickly. I love anything Nutella, so their Nutella French toast was delicious. I got a taste of my boyfriend's chilaquiles and WOW I'm definitely getting them next time! They are the perfect amount of spice, and very generous with the amount of meat they give you. Drinks are strong and yummy (: it gets pretty busy on the weekends so make sure to join their Yelp waitlist through the app to save some time!

Came here with some friends on a Saturday morning for brunch. We had a reservation via OpenTable but as we got there, there was a sign that said OpenTable reservations will not be honored. The hostess was nice enough and said she'll give us priority in line, but the wait was still around 15-20 min, which was honestly not as bad as we thought it would be considering there were other people waiting. They have a lot on the menu, so it was hard to pick! They have American brunch and lunch items and Mexican style breakfast options. I ended up getting the French Skillet and was able to switch out the country potatoes for some hash browns. The food wasn't oily or too salty, and was cooked well. There were TVs playing the Olympics in the restaurant where each screen was showing a different sport. Noise level was comparable to other busy restaurants, but I was able to converse with and hear my friends without problem. Parking is easy as the restaurant is located in a plaza, but the lot was quite full since there are many other stores including a Safeway. Would definitely come back here for brunch with friends or family.
